Is it a figment of someone's imagination that has been fed into our subconscious and filed under "the cinderella ending & others with happily ever afters" that would never really happen.
Or do things like that actually happen? And why is it that when we hear about a so called "fairy tale"esque encounter.. that we would rather think its made up or an exaggeration than *godforbid* an actual possibility.
Have we become so cynical that we won't even allow for the idea of the possibility of a "magical moment" to register?
Isn't reality merely a perception after all? Or have we shunned it into a rigid framework of does happen/ doesn't happen?
Fact is: when 6 women, all well educated, multi-cultured and fairly open minded, were faced by the prospect of "happily ever after" and the "magical encounter", all 6 of us smirked sarcastically and gave each other a knowing look of "yeah like that would ever happen".
We think outside the box every day, at work, in projects and on a professional basis, but we feel its better to confine ourselves to what we see as the reality of a situation when it comes to our personal lives.
Sad, isn't it?
- to fairy dust and magical stories that actually happen xx

yup - they dont exist anymore.
its that simple.
its not abt us being cynical, but its more abt the way the world is lately :(
I don't think they ever existed. I think it is something we entertain ourselves with to avoid our bitter reality. Be that as it may, some happily-ever-after's do occur from time to time.
They were called fairy tales, ie they can only be possibly happening in never land.
true
I don't believe in happy endings, even when it is a happy ending!
dandooon: i guess fairy tales are things from the past!
sham3at al jillas: yes, but why is it so hard for us to have faith in that "happily ever after" ?
mi: lol oh to live in such a world! x
plastic: yup
BP: me too.. i always wait for the other shoe to drop or something..!
i still believe in happy endings and fairytales...call me naive or whatever, but id rather be that than be the opposite..no faith at all. =)
there is a magical world, opposed to a world of reality and compromise. Now im not saying a realistic world does not encounter a "happily ever after" ending. It certainly does, only if comprimses are considered and overlooked.
Desertpalms: it does give u a positive perspective when u have faith in fairytale-esque encounters.. So yes dream, but watch ur back while doing so..
Pinksugar: it probably does exist, reality is a perception after all..
The world is as you dream it.I think its all relative..one's fairy tale could be another's nightmare and vice versa.however,hoping/wishing for a fairy tale or something magical to happen does help one during some bleak days.I dont believe in fairy tale endings and stuff.
yes indeed it is all relative.. having a positive outlook is always a good thing :) xx
