"You can read all the books u want," he pointed at my notebook, "but it is life that teaches u the most."
I looked at him knowing he doesn't want me to reply, and nodded.
"As u get older, u will know exactly what every person u encounter expects from u," he went on, "you will learn that people are hardly ever what they lead you to believe they are,"
I gave him a sceptical look, just for the sake of it.
"You will find a way to read people, but I see that you already do that,"he summoned.
I smiled.
Little did he know, that the girl he thought was handled by kid gloves and sheltered from ugliness had learnt the hard way, that everyone has a hidden agenda. That acquaintances hardly ever make it to anything more than just that because of a highly structured filter, that " better safe than sorry" became a rule of thumb regardless of how boring it is.
So I just nodded, and continued to smile :)

It's more appealing to me to keep expecting the unexpected from life, generally.
I hope that doesn't change when I grow up wiser.
i guess being surprised is good, gives life that edgy thing, but.. on the other hand.. it hurts the most when ur not expecting it to.. tu sais? xx
totally agree..
