Respect vs Availability

Let's say u were to choose between two life partners..

One had tact, and respected who u are as a person, and made you feel like a godsent gift; but he was never available.

And the other was rude and boyish, yet would always be there.

I know those are two different things, but people have various shortcomings, some we chose to live with, and others we simply can't stand.

So my question is: which one of these situations do u think is more "livable"??

Babe, akeed the one who respects you but since you're saying he's not "available" then both is this case are not ok!

Never let go of any standard you have in mind JUST BECAUSE someone is available :)

Trust me, I am all about "not settling".. But hypothetically speaking, which of the two would be a person you would be willing to live with.. Think of it as a poll on human preferences :)

i have actually been thinking about this very topic for a while!

it depends on you just as much as it depends on them. If you're a busy woman with a busy schedule then him being not available should be less of an issue, and vice versa.

As for the boyish (and maybe a bit immature?) man, perhaps his goofiness would be the perfect thing to counter your stressful life?
try to anticipate what you'd like in the long run and keep in mind that they won't change their habits so be prepared to accept and live with what they have :p

goodluck!

well, i'd go for neither hehe =D
cz honestly neither of the situations are acceptable to me

bs if i HAD to choose one, i would choose the unavailable one, because i cant stand someone who doesnt respect me

bs really, neither of them are acceptable, you know?

depends available in what sense?? if its just physical availability whereas he is available but not dependable. cos it makes a huge difference

but i would definitely chose the respectful one. even if he was available only one day a month but i can denpend on him then for sure.

plus respect comes above love any day

anonymous: god forbid we expect them to change their habits! lol u bring good arguments to both cases.. i guess it really depends on the situation then..

BP and ANSAM: its either A or B mafee C :P and yes i know, nothing beats being single lol

mme monstre: respect is vital for any relationship indeed..

dandoon: yes i know, bes everyone has faults.. and sometimes we need to live with them..

3anooda: i'm starting to think that if a person is physically unavailable then its only a matter of time before the emotional availability gets shoved out the window too.. i guess it springs from the "out of sight out of mind" theory.. but yes, respect, honesty and communication are way more important than love.

I would go for the respectful not available.. boyish/rude personality isn't an option for me... Plus they, at some point of their life, should (& definitely will) stop being available 24/7.

We change.

Fastidious Babe said...

mi: yes we change, but doesnt that mean that the boyish rude person would outgrow his habits? instead of being less available?

The first, definitly.. its not so bad if hes not available as in rarely home
