I love perfectionists.
I know they are an obsessive bunch who can get under your skin, but really.. They are the people you want to get your stuff done.
When I was a doe-eyed intern, my attending was a control-maniac perfectionist who's first words to me were: if you're going to do something; do it perfectly or don't do it at all.
I hated her, ofcourse. But with time I grew fond of her dedication and no-nonsense attitude. She became my mentor.
Anyways.. Today I was getting a back massage when I realised that perfectionism is a trait I want in all my service providers. For example, the therapist today was really good, so was the ambiance, the pressure, music et al.. But she wasn't dedicated to making sure I leave without a single knot.
Maybe I have such high expectations cuz my regular maseus (sp?) made it her duty to combat all those tense knots and then some..
Wouldn't you want the services you seek to meet and exceed expectations?
Maybe that's just me.
