Not once did I call personnel and got my problem solved over the phone! THAT'S IF THEY PICK UP TO START WITH!


So I called up the receptionist, told her that I have been calling all day and no one picks up! Perhaps the lines were down or something?


And she said:


" I guess they're busy, there's this guy.. Call him and see.. He might pick up!"

What she said was " shoofy chan bayred 3alaich"


Which means.. Try ur luck!


What the ...!? I'm so going down there to see what those people do all day!

Why today sucked

Before u read this, i shall warn u that this is one long ass blog entry with a whole lotta cussing and complaining. So if ur not in that dark place i'm in right now, do not proceed! Here goes:

Shit happens, all the time.. and it always always comes in threes.. ALWAYS!

Today was supposed to be one of those amazingly chilled out days.. lunch, movies and probably a shopping spree.. yaiy!


So there we are at destination lunch place, it had the perfect atmosphere, perfect lighting, perfect everything..
we order.. and they bring us something we didn't ask for.. I tell the dude that we did not order the dish.. no biggy right?
But the waiter walks back to me and goes like: "so u'ld like to cancel it now?" in this condescending tone >__< i breathed in breathed out, told him POLITELY that i really cannot cancel something i didnt order in the first place.. vraiment?
He seemed ticked off.. i hope he didn't spit in my food or something.. Anyways.. The manager walks by.. goes like oh i guess he mis-heard or something.. enjoy ur meal etc etc

We eat, we hang out.. the place is really heavenly.. u guys should try it if ur in dubai.. Khan Murjan.. and then i ask for the bill.. we had to rush to the movies.. i skim it (i started skim reading the bills recently, after my friend noticed that sometimes they double charge stuff) ANYWAYS.. they charged the dish i had supposedly ordered and supposedly canceled.. and then i had to talk to the manager YET AGAIN! ugh.. its irritating.. not a total mood kill.. but just enough to get u worked up.. and ready for what happened next XD


We head to the movies.. I get the tickets.. we walk into the theater.. get seated.. and then juuuust before our movie starts.. the usher walks up to us.. and goes like "those aren't ur seats, lemme have a look at those tickets" .. it turns out, the lady at ticketing gave us the wrong tickets, to another movie XD AND SO.. he runs off to to get it sorted out.. I continue breathing in and out.. i mean .. ITS JUST THE MOVIES! what could go wrong? right? He comes back, goes like its all taken, u can sit up front.. its empty there!
WHAT? why should i sit upfront when i came on time, got myself tickets, and chose where i wanted to sit! like hello? So there i was, sorting it out with management AGAIN! this lead to that.. and we got proper seats..

Watched the movie, wasn't really into it, as (check the previous post) i was clicking away taking shots and blogging and emailing and g-talking and stuff.. its not a bad movie, just not my kinda flick.


So THEN.. We had to go get some coffee (the highlight of the day!).. i noticed that i had the wrong purse on me.. but i had a credit card in there.. i called the bank to check that i'm fine.. and he assured me that i have this n that in my credit.. all is well and good.. i might get me a pair of shoes while i'm at it.. god knows it woulda made my day!

So we go get coffee.. (it was la creme de la creme of coffees, Segafredos.. i have a love affair with them) anyways.. and then we hit the stores, I look around.. find this super cute oversized cardigan i've been looking for for So Long now.. its fall/winter, but its made of the softest cotton, and it would look fab belted.. i try it on.. i love it! (oh and ofcourse, they just got it a few days ago and its the last piece etc etc) .. I give her my credit card.. AND IT GETS DECLINED! WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? this really never happened to me and i thought that she would cut it or something LIKE THEY DO ON TV LOL anyways.. she tried again.. it didn't work.. ouch, it was getting late anyways.. had to put it on hold and call the bank to sort out what went wrong.. Long story short.. the bank has issues.. something they would resolve soon enough i hope..


BUT.. the day totally sucked.

Am i over exaggerating? do i get worked up on trivial matters? I don't know and i really do not care! i need to pass out and hope that tomorrow is a better day!

They say that: "Tact is the ability to describe others as they see themselves."

So does this apply to everyone around u? Can you not speak your mind to even those closest to u without poking their self-confidence?

And if u do state the obvious (to u) are u being rude and inconsiderate? Or open and positively proactive?

Being tactful, in my opinion, is to be able to say anything.. No matter how harsh, but delivering it with kid gloves.. Its the art of being smooth, and avoiding ripples whilst getting a point through..

I'm Binging

The last three days were horrible.. stress wise.. and im doing all i can to stay positive.. after all, its what i do.. smile and move on! God forbid i open up to my friends and talk about whats REALLY bothering me.

anyways.. I AM BINGING!

and its not just that i'm eating a little more than i should.. its me not stopping.. i go out for brunch.. get back and do snacks with the mr.. go out again for dinner.. come back home and have some cookies and so on and so forth. It goes on and on and ON!


Polyphagia, is what my friends call it..


Emotional eating is what it is.

i wonder how much longer i can stuff my face without it actually popping?

and my personal trainer is going nuts, she keeps calling me but i come up with the stupidest excuses ever.. ah well...

Are we too connected?

From email, to facebook, to messenger, to txting, mmsing, 3G-ing..gtalking.. And every other communication method there is out there.. When did this become necessary?

Don't take me wrong, I'm all for communication.. But when did it become so vital that we can't go an hour or so without it.

I remember a few months ago, we had to hand our cell phones in when we took the speciality exam.. And it was torture..

When did not being on the phone, become handicapping?

What was once a luxury became a necessity and is now a full blown addiction.

Is it an addiction? Or is it a way of life? Or did we make it harder to let go when we brought it into our lives?

Maybe I'm exaggerating..

How do you deal?

They say that the secret to life is replacing one worry with another.. By distracting yourself from whatever was worrying you in the first place.. And moving on.



The problem arises when the distraction turns into another problem and u end up in a bigger rot than u were in to start with.



Two(hundred?) wrongs do not make a right.



So, deal with problems as they come along, do not lose focus (as easy and appealing it might seem to yield to distractions at the time) and have the courage to take matters into your hands.



When it comes to our own lives, we can do a lot, we have the key to solving every problem/dilemma if we chose to see it.



So when it seems that all doors are closed, look for a window somewhere.. Because when there's a will.. There is ALWAYS a way.

10 reasons you should get a cat:

1. they are cute n fluffy n snuggly, just like soft toys, but real.

2. you find them in the cutest places, doing the cutest things, posing the cutest poses ever!

3. They keep u home, at least more than u usually would stay at home ( less going out = less consumption.. refer to environmental post earlier)

4. THEY EAT BUGS!

5. They are independent ( they eat, sleep, clean themselves and are potty trained by nature!)

6. After a few weeks of having them around, you will feel that you are less jumpy and are more prepared to sudden outbursts/jerks.

7. They sleep, ALOT.. and can lull you into a slumber with them!

8. You get to see if you can keep a living creature alive and happy. Pilot maternal instincts and what not.

9. You get to shop for them: toys, clothes, collars (sometimes.. for fun).. etC lol

10. And Finally: Research has shown that people with cats are less likely to have cardiac problems (ie. die from heart attacks et al)

It appears that the problem with the movie isn't the movie itself, but the NAME.. I guess the word SEX would cause some "problems" if it was all over the place .. So until the verdict is out.. we wait!



Since there was nothing good on, we went to see The Forbidden Kingdom ( I am NOT a sci-fi/martial art person) so it was pretty lame and boring for me, jackie chan made me laugh a lil though.



Best part of the movie (snapped and attached above): this scene, the hair, the makeup, the background (are those cherry blossoms? I'm not really sure).. It just looks..Surreal.

I had one of those really long days.. and i would like to jot down some thoughts, just so i clear my mind for tonight, and SLEEP!


1. Do you talk to people you don't really know, but have bumped into several times, say, at the beach?

2. Define small talk.

3. Does a visit to ur obgyn make u feel violated.. in some way?

4. Define common courtesy.

5. Do u ever surprise urself by doing something u usually don't like seeing being done? Say, wear shades indoors, or act like u didn't notice ur old "friend" staring at you while u shopped and looked ahead, without going over to say hi?

6. Define hypocrisy.

7. Don't you love it when a group of multi-cultured women meet up and have a conversation that fulfills their intellectual/social needs?

8. Define Bonding.

9. Can you have a great day, and miss someone terribly that all u can think off every single moment of that day is "i miss them".
