They say that: "Tact is the ability to describe others as they see themselves."
So does this apply to everyone around u? Can you not speak your mind to even those closest to u without poking their self-confidence?
And if u do state the obvious (to u) are u being rude and inconsiderate? Or open and positively proactive?
Being tactful, in my opinion, is to be able to say anything.. No matter how harsh, but delivering it with kid gloves.. Its the art of being smooth, and avoiding ripples whilst getting a point through..

it can get pretty tricky, especially with people im not very close to, but its who i am, and i cant help it :)
dandoon: it does get tricky! i kinda wish i bit my tongue quite a few times! although i tend not to go beyond small talk when im around strangers.. its a good thing really! x

It's hard for me to say things sans 7asaseya... although I did consider myself as tactful, but it turns out I'm not according to your definition;p... I just can't say it out loud if I know its going to hurt the person to hear...or I can't get myself to say it... unless I have have have to cuz I love that person too much not to... u know what I mean?

I'm guilty of "suger-coating" certain things. I can never be that blunt. I know that I'm too nice sometimes but there are limits, I know when to speak up if it's necessary!

Thank you for making me think about this post deeply for the past two days.
Theres alot more to it than that and involves alot of factors...you touched a core topic that affects many people in our Eastern world.
I hope one day I can sit with you and talk about it x
