Valentino, the review.

Chocolate Shot with Nuts, pure indulgence!

When asked "What do women want?"
"I know what women want," he said.. "They want to be beautiful"

The Valentino documentary was out of this world, every thing about it was fabulous..Valentino, his crew, his companion of 50 years, his clothes.. oh the CLOTHES! his last show.. him reminiscing about dresses with Karl.. about the days of Dolce Vita.. How he started in Paris and then went back to Rome, but how French became his thing.. it wasn't his mother language yet he uses it with his lover, and whenever he gets worked up.. it became part of him...

It was filled with touchy scenes: like when he sold his company in 98.. and his final collection last year..the 45th anniversary/farewell party..and his speech which followed.. all of which gave me goosebumps! And lets not forget the dresses.. the details.. the Valentino WOW factor..

They also talked about how back in the 70's it was selling dresses which made them who they are, but in the 80's it became more of a licensing game.. and then in the 90's it was all about investors.. and now money has a language on its own.. that its not the clothing that makes a brand.. its the bags n shoes n makeup .. and all the other things Valentino could not handle.. And when asked "what next?" he said: "Après Moi, le Déluge".

Fashion and Sentiment..Its a well deserved 10!

PS. Do check out The Chanel Movie.

- to perfection! xx
