i've been contemplating going black too!...right now my hair has the remanants of blonde disastrous streaks...wanna go for a solid global colour...and i think black would be best!!
NAY! as much as I love black hair, it's such a pain! there will come a time where you'll get bored and want to change again; my sis went through hell trying to change it to brown and her hair kind of self destructed through the process lol =]
ok i was always against going black because its hard to change later! AND i think it can compliment some features but it doesnt work on everyone ANYWAYS lol i have tried all shades of brown.. deep rich brown, mocha, caramel ETC.. the works.. and im bored!
Does anyone think that a rinse-in dye would be an Ok choice?
Hmm.. my hairdresser is against me going black too..
i have daark brown hair u can almost mistake it for black, but i was always able to go lighter when i wanted.. then once, i got bored of my lighter hair and went to my hairdresser and asked to go back natural.. so they dyed my hair into this deep brown that is almost black, now it's suchhhhh a headache i can't color over it, i've tried everywhere with the best ppl and it's so horrible .. wherever that little bit is left it goes totally red. so i say NAY.
For some ;-) hehehehe! I had short hair almost all of 2008 and now I am growing it long... I am in this stage where its shoulder length and I hate it! Should I be patient and wait or chop it back off LOL!?

Ansam: hmmmmmmmmm lemme ask u this: how do u see ur hair in 5 years? :P long or short? lol if ur planning on keeping it short than u can get another bob or something for now.. although long hair is kinda hot right now XD so think it out! as u can see i cant make a decision when it comes to my hair so i cant be of help to u either :P MISSED U BTW! x
Hi there, hmmm just consider how often you like to change your color since it is very difficult to change after black. and consider length. cuz if you go black and want to change you should grow it out, cut off the ends, then try to color the virgin hair. about the fake part, well i don't think half of the blonds with dark skin look so natural either lol. stripey highlights are also not so natural yet they were the rage for awhile. good luck. (your pregnant anony who was inspired by the map post, f )

black can go horribly wrong or fantastically right depending on your colorist.worth the risk,I'd say!

Nayyy! Go for a real deep dark rich brown.. Sometimes black looks so fake.

u can go for dark chocolate base or burgendy hues for darker skin tones

i second a journal entry and al joud, but not cuz black is fake, it's cuz getting rid of it after you're bored is a hassle.
Darkest brown looks like black yet can be changed way more easily.
in my opinion a7es black hair is fake hair,
id say go to the darkest shade of brown that would be the great blackish shade for hair... but dying ur hair black is sooooo fake!
